Capital at risk. The value of investments can go down as well as up, and you may get back less than you put in.

How Sharewick handles and protects your details

Sharewick collects as little about you as it can: your name, email address and phone number, and only if you fill in the call back form. We never see your bank details, your ID documents or your investment account. Those sit with the provider.

This page explains how we protect what we do hold, who can see it, how long we keep it, and how to spot someone pretending to be us.

What personal data does Sharewick collect?

Sharewick collects your name, email address and phone number when you request a call back, plus a record of the consent you gave and when. That's all. We don't ask for your income, savings, bank details, date of birth or ID, and we'll never ask for passwords or card numbers.

Collecting less is the simplest protection there is: nobody can steal from us what we never had. Analytics cookies are off unless you switch them on. If you agree to them, we count page visits anonymously. If you don't, nothing beyond the one cookie that remembers your choice is set. The cookie policy lists them.

How is the form protected?

This website is served only over HTTPS, so the details you type into the form are encrypted between your browser and our server. Before you enter anything, check the padlock and that the address bar shows our real web address. If the address looks odd, close the page and type it in yourself.

The site sends security headers that tell your browser to use only HTTPS, to run scripts only from this site and not to show our pages inside another website.

Who can see my details?

Only two organisations see your details: Sharewick and the provider, which calls you back. Inside our company, access is limited to the people who need it to pass on requests and answer your questions. We don't sell your details or share them with anyone else.

Once your details reach the provider, its own privacy policy and security rules apply. Our partner disclosure explains exactly what we send.

How long do you keep my details?

We keep call back requests for 24 months, then delete them. We keep a record of the consent you gave for 72 months, because we may need to show that you agreed to be contacted. You can ask us to delete your details sooner by emailing privacy@sharewick.net.

Under data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete your details, restrict or object to how we use them, take a copy with you, or withdraw your consent. If you think we've mishandled your data, tell us first at privacy@sharewick.net. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, in particular in the country where you live, work or where you think the problem happened.

Where are my account and money held?

Your account and money are held by the provider, never by Sharewick. You open the account on the provider's own website, pay money directly to the provider, and log in there to see your investments. We have no access to your account, so nobody from Sharewick can move money in or out.

That also means we can't reset your password or check a payment for you. For anything about your account, contact the provider through its website.

We can't tell you how the provider protects the money and investments it holds, because that's set by its own terms and the rules it operates under, not by us. Before you pay anything in, ask the provider how it holds client money, and check the answer against its terms and key documents.

How do I spot a phishing email or call using our name?

A phishing message pretends to come from a firm you trust so you'll hand over money or details. Anyone asking for your password, card PIN, a security code, remote access to your device, or payment into an account not in the provider's name isn't genuine. Stop, hang up and check independently.

  • We only email from addresses ending in our own domain, and only if you've asked to hear from us.
  • We never call you. Calls come only from the provider, and only after you requested one.
  • We never ask you to pay anything, install software or move money.
  • Links in our emails go to our own website. Hover over a link before you click to see where it really leads.

Received something suspicious in our name? Forward it to hello@sharewick.net. If you've lost money, contact your bank immediately, then report it to the police or national fraud reporting service in your country.
